Students from The Sixth Form Bolton are celebrating securing their first-choice universities and taking their next steps to becoming the country’s future top lawyers and barristers.
Law is a hugely popular career choice for many B6 students, a number of which have benefited from the Sixth Form Law Society enrichment programme.
Former Bedford High School student, Alexandria Stones, is delighted to be heading off to the respected University of York to study Law. Alex achieved an amazing A* in A Level Law and three A grades in English Literature, Politics and the L3 Extended Project Qualification.
Alex said of achieving her results:
“I wasn’t sure how today was going to go, I’ve never really had much faith in myself, so opening those results and realising that all my hard work had finally paid off was a feeling of happiness I physically can’t put into words. I feel I have done myself and the people around me proud, and I am so relieved that I can now say I’m moving into the next stage of my dream of helping people and becoming a lawyer.”
Joseph Stones, a former student of Bolton St Catherine's Academy, is also delighted to be heading off into a big city to make his mark in the legal sector. After sweeping the board with an A* in A Level Law and three grade As in English Language, Geography and the L3 Extended Project Qualification, Joe is looking forward to starting his dream career by studying Law at The University of Manchester.
Joe said:
“I’m so pleased and relieved that I have achieved the grades I needed, the hard work has really paid off. I want to thank all the teachers and staff at The Sixth Form for all their support over the last two years, it’s been an amazing experience.”
Former Fred Longworth High School student, Macy Barlow, is also aspiring for a bright career in Law after securing a place at the prestigious Durham University. Macy achieved A grades in A Level Law, Criminology and a grade B in History.
Macy said:
“I’m super happy to achieve my grades. I’ve loved meeting all my new friends and overall, I’ve had an amazing experience.”
Nana Abena Yebuaah Baidoo moved to the UK from Ghana. As well as achieving an amazing grade 7 in her GCSE English at The Sixth Form, Nana continued to exceed expectations and has gone on to achieve an A* in A Level Law, an A in Religious Studies, and B grades Politics and the L3 Extended Project Qualification. A place at University College, London to study Law now awaiting the very deserving student.
Nana said:
“I couldn’t be happier with my results. I’d like to thank my teachers for all their dedication and help. I can’t wait to start university in London.”
Amina Batool has taken a different direction into Law by securing a highly competitive Level 7 Legal Solicitor Apprentice with TLT LLP in Manchester. The former Bolton Muslim Girls' School student achieved a staggering A* in A Level Law, and straight A grades in Sociology and Politics.
Amina said:
“My results are a testament to the hard work of my teachers and my personal efforts over the past two years. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to study at The Sixth Form Bolton, and excited for what is to come!”
